Five Marys Dry-aged Ground Beef Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Five Marys Dry-aged ground beef
  • Oven ready “lasagne sheets” by Barilla
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 jars tomato sauce
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Five Marys Spice Rub

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F

  2. Oil or grease a 9x13 deep baking dish

  3. Brown ground beef in a large cast iron pan or skillet with diced onion and red bell pepper, add M5 spice rub

  4. Start with 1 cup of tomato sauce covering the bottom of the baking dish, then add three sheets of oven ready lasagna sheets to mostly cover

  5. Add ⅓ of the cheese and ground beef and cover with sauce again

  6. Add three more sheets to cover

  7. Repeat two more times and finish with lasagna sheets covered in the rest of the sauce and shredded mozzarella and parmesan, making sure you have enough sauce to over the sheets (otherwise they will dry out)

  8. Cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes

  9. Remove foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes for a cheesy crust

  10. Let Rest 10-15 minutes before slicing to serve
