Camp Berry Cobbler

Ingredients

FOR THE TOPPING

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks (12 tbsp) butter
  • optional: granulated sugar for topping

FOR FILLING

  • 4-7 cups of sliced fruit

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Melt your butter using the microwave or stovetop. Set aside to cool.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt. Stir them together.

  4. Once the butter is cool, add it to the mixing bowl to form the dough.

  5. In a dutch oven or a ceramic baking dish, layer the 4-7 cups of sliced fruit until your dish is about 2/3 full.

  6. Form the dough from the mixing bowl into 1/2 to 2/3 inches thick cobbles and lay them on top.

  7. Bake for 45-55 min.

  8. Watch for the cobble topping to become a nice, golden brown.

  9. Once it’s done, let cool for 30-45 min. You can even let it sit overnight.
